CHIEFS Coaching Videos
November 20, 2021
The CHIEFS (Carine Hitting, Innovation & Effective Fielding Syndicate) recently returned for another year!
Held in early November, our first session was an opportunity for our valued volunteer coaches to meet others and share some stories.
We had a number of coaches present drills, games or competitions that they like to use at their trainings. We worked through them in the field so that we could all understand them and then take them back to our respective teams.
As part of our commitment to quality coaching and support for our volunteers, we also used the session as an opportunity to record a series of coaching videos. We hope to add to these at future CHIEFS sessions. Check out one of the videos below, and if you want to look at more, navigate to our Coaching Page.
Our CHIEFS sessions are open to anyone who wants to learn more about the game. Assistant coaches, parent helpers, or junior players helping your teams are always welcome to attend. The more development and fun we get into our teams, the better our club will be.
Cats Development Coaches
November 19, 2021
We are very excited to announce the return of our training development sessions which provides teams the opportunity to have one of the talented members of the baseball or softball clubs attend and run training sessions. This program has been going for a few years now to great feedback from kids, coaches and parents alike.
This season's coaches are Luke Johns and Sara Riou and you’ll see them at trainings across the seasons.
Luke is a past Chairperson of the Carine Baseball Club and has played or coached Teeball and baseball for over 30 years including stints as a State Championships coach and at summer camps in the USA.
Take a look at a clip showcasing the way Luke is able to break down the skills of tee-ball during one of our CHIEFS coaching sessions.
Sara started off playing Teeball as Carine as well and played softball internationally as well as in the Premier League, Open Women’s States and the Fully Loaded Summer Slam series.
Sit back and enjoy Sara's clutch walk-off double to get her Panthers team into the 2020 Fully Loaded Summer Series Softball tournament!
